This year, Ireland’s number one MIS is coming to the UK and is already attracting a number of schools hoping to break away from older, more complicated solutions. Speaking about the move, Adrian Bantin, UK Business Manager at VS School, comments:
“We are very excited to bring VS School MIS to the UK. Since becoming the most widely used MIS in Ireland, we have received a lot of interest from UK schools and so have decided to offer our solution here too.”
Now available in the UK, VS School MIS is the most widely used MIS in Ireland
Adrian explains how VS School MIS has been designed around user experience, without compromising on quality of data:
“In today’s tech connected world, consumers have become used to constant, instant access to data, and schools should be no different. Traditional management information systems are locally hosted, and generally not the most user friendly systems, having been created when cloud based, HTML5 written, tablet compatible solutions were not a consideration. Several years on, and it is not a bonus when a system works on a tablet, but an expected feature. This is where VS School MIS excels.”
When a school administrator logs into VS School MIS, they are provided with a dashboard overview of the whole school activity, including attendance records, behaviour, overdue roll calls, class information, and assessment data. From here, they can drill down to any other data in a couple of clicks.
VS School MIS provides data dashboards on key school metrics, such
as attendance, using a graphical display that is straightforward to read
“Ease of use is our key priority. The last thing we want is for school administrators to get lost in the data; an MIS should be there to make their lives easier and to provide immediate, accurate access to student information when it is needed. For this reason, we have added a number of additional features to VS School MIS, such as a robust room booking system, behaviour escalation service, and SMS support, all at no extra cost.”
The responsive system is designed to enable teachers to instantly see which lessons they are teaching that day, whether they have been asked to deal with a student or issue through the behaviour escalation system, whether any students are absent without leave, as well as any other relevant information for the day. As VS School MIS operates online, it can be securely accessed wherever there is an internet connection, however all data can be exported to Excel for further examination if required.
Focussing on the year ahead, Adrian says:
“We look forward to supporting UK schools by offering them a faster, constantly evolving, more user friendly MIS than is currently available. We are currently demonstrating VS School MIS to schools across the country and will also be at a number of education events throughout the year for schools to get their hands on the system and test drive it for themselves!”
