'Although most computer work is done indoors, outside activity can be used to develop children’s awareness of how, why, when and where different forms of technology are used in everyday life. In this activity, the outside area and vehicles such as trikes, cars and bikes are used to develop a car park. It is divided into different-sized parking bays and has an entrance, exit and a ticket machine (created from recycled materials as a shared activity by adults and children). This extends role-play activities in the outdoor area and builds on activities that are already an integral part of the curriculum.'
